SCM: Supply Chain Management EC&I: Enterprise Collaboration & Integration E-Com: Electronic Commerce Manufacturing Consumer Goods Retail and Hospitality

Product information and associated business transactions such as POs, ASNs, ATPs and Invoices flow to the enterprise from trading partners such as manufacturers and distributors. Cactus Enterprise Collaboration & Integration (ECI) solutions enable the electronic collaboration between the enterprise and trading partners. In addition to external sources of product data, there are numerous internal sources, such as divisional ERPs, Merchandising Systems, E-CommerceSystems and Warehouse Management Systems. Cactus ECI solutions enable integration of these internal systems from various vendors and different technology platforms.

Enterprise Collaboration and Integration enables diverse systems and software to work together. This includes internal and external process integration as well as business integration, which allows individual companies to tightly align their corporate objectives and strategies.

Cactus Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solutions integrate disparate internal systems and business processes that result from divisional business models, acquisitions and departmental, or non-centralized, architectures. Cactus EAI solutions leverage the power of Microsoft BizTalk Server in conjunction with the Cactus Enterprise Integration Framework to quickly connect to systems such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics.

Integration occurs at many levels. The Cactus Enterprise Integration Framework also enables integration of the plant floor to the enterprise (or P2E) allowing unprecedented visibility into the shop floor.

In recent years, competition has been redefined as occurring between supply chains, not just between companies. As a result, successful firms need to extend the benefits of integration outwards to their suppliers’ and customers’ systems as well. Also known as B2B Collaboration, Trading Partner Integration (TPI) enables the electronic exchange of business documents and the integration of business processes between Trading Partners. Cactus Trade Server supports Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and XML as well as portal-based vendor management solutions.

Internet-based TPI solutions deliver all the advantages of traditional EDI - at a fraction of the cost. Smaller firms can now reap the benefits of using standardized EDI over the Internet (EDI Int.) data formats without the complexity and transaction costs required for conducting EDI over Value Added Networks (VANs)

In turn, those EDI Int links will lead to streamlined Trading Partner Integration (TPI) that offers more efficient exchange of accurate business documents with suppliers and partners. Ultimately, the upgraded system can serve as a solid base for managing the more robust EPCglobal data delivered by RFID technologies

Cactus Commerce delivers results quickly because of its experience in the Retail, Consumer Goods and Manufacturing sectors. As well, its expertise with Microsoft technology including BizTalk Server and Commerce Server Cactus’ position as a Microsoft Gold Certified Integrated E-Business Solutions Partner is further enhanced by its participation in Microsoft’s e-Business Partner Advisory Council (PAC), and being a founding member of the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) PAC.
