Supply & Demand Chain Executive Announces Its
2005 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100
Leading Business Magazine Presents Annual Listing of
Top Supply and Demand Chain Vendors
Birmingham, AL, Phoenix, AZ, New York – July 13, 2005 – Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine, the executive's user manual for successful supply chain
transformation, this week announced the fourth-annual listing of the Supply & Demand
Chain Executive 100 in its June/July 2005 issue.
Four years ago, Supply & Demand Chain Executive announced its first "100" list of
supply chain solution providers and other organizations that were helping lead the way in
transforming companies' supply and demand chains.
Now, in 2005, Supply & Demand Chain Executive continues the tradition of providing its
readers with information about organizations that are leading the way in providing
solutions and services for enabling supply chain transformation.
"The Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 is one way in which our magazine tries to
help readers navigate the complex landscape of supply and demand chain solutions and
service providers," explained Andrew Reese, editor of Supply & Demand Chain
Executive magazine. "The '100' list of companies is designed to showcase providers that
have completed successful and innovative real-life supply chain implementations, and
give our readers a starting place when looking for solutions to their own supply chain
pain points."
Supply & Demand Chain Executive's readers have consistently said in surveys that they
use Supply & Demand Chain Executive — both the print magazine and SDCExec.com —
to learn about new solutions and best practices for enabling the supply chain, to
understand trends in supply chain technology, and to benchmark their own companies'
enablement initiatives with those of other enterprises across industry verticals.
For this reason, the criteria for this year's "100" feature focus on the end users of supply
chain technology to learn how enterprises are working with top solution providers to
enable their supply and demand chains.
Based on submissions to the "100" from end users and solution providers, the judging
committee for the "100" identified a list of the top supply and demand chain initiatives at
small, midsize and large companies in a variety of industry sectors, highlighting the pain
point(s) addressed by the initiatives (The Challenge), the technologies and services used
to address those pain points (The Solution), the results of the initiatives (Return on
Investment, or ROI), and plans for taking the project forward (Next Steps).
Supply & Demand Chain Executive's goal with this year's "100" was to highlight a broad
range of applications of technology and services to the challenges of supply chain
improvement and transformation. The judging committee particularly sought innovative
solutions that represent supply chain challenges at a variety of different types of
companies.
Final recipients are featured in the cover story of the June/July 2005 issue of Supply &
Demand Chain Executive, as well as online at www.SDCExec.com.
