Cactus Commerce Certified by 1SYNC™ Partner Program for Global Data Synchronization (GDS)

1SYNC-certified solution provides retailers with a solid foundation for Multi-Channel Retailing Initiatives

OTTAWA, ON and CHICAGO, IL – May 22, 2006 – Cactus Commerce Inc., a leading provider of software and services for e-business, today announced that Cactus GDS Accelerator for Microsoft BizTalk® 2004, part of the Cactus Connected Commerce System (CCS), has been certified as Synchronization Suite 3.0 compliant for 1SYNC Data Pool customers.

The announcement coincides with Cactus’ appearance in Microsoft Booth #1119 at the Retail Systems 2006 Conference and Exhibition being held this week, from May 21 – 24 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. Together with Microsoft, Cactus is conducting live, interactive demonstrations on how Multi-Channel Retailing, combined with the Microsoft® RFID infrastructure and Microsoft Commerce Server™ 2006, create a seamless customer experience.

“We have built our reputation by developing robust multi-channel retailing solutions on time and under budget for some of the largest retailers and manufacturers in North America” said Jean-Yves Martineau, CTO, Cactus Commerce, “Cactus’ certification with 1SYNC Data Pool provides further assurance to our customers that they are implementing proven cost-saving business practices and industry standards that build a solid foundation for their multi-channel retailing initiatives.”

Attendees in the booth can witness first-hand how the Cactus Connected Commerce System (CCS) enhances a regular online order experience through in-store pickup while the fulfillment process is enhanced by using RFID technologies in-store to ensure inventory levels are correct and orders are fulfilled accurately.

“Microsoft understands that providing shoppers excellent service and multiple options for purchasing and returning products is critical to winning and keeping customer loyalty,” said Tom Litchford, director, Retail & Hospitality Industry Group at Microsoft Corp. “Microsoft delivers additional value to the retail marketplace with technologies that seamlessly integrate customer touch-points such as in-store kiosks, mobile e-commerce, and online shopping. This creates more choices for shoppers to find what they want faster while opening new channels for retailers to maximize revenue.”

Cactus Commerce delivers solutions for the manufacturing and retail industries inline with Microsoft Smarter Retailing™, a comprehensive solutions framework for enabling the next generation of retail innovation. This includes solutions to easily manage the adoption of transforming technologies such as Global Data Synchronization and RFID.

Cactus will also be exhibiting in booth #406 at the 2006 U Connect Conference, June 7 – 9, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. There they will be demonstrating how Cactus and Microsoft technology enable an end-to-end supply chain scenario with GDS, RFID and EDI. The demo will showcase Cactus GDS Accelerator for BizTalk - a 1SYNC-Certified solution, Cactus Trade Server and the Cactus RFID Framework.
