Juniper Research has released a new study on Mobile Location Based Services. According to a summary provided over at TechCrunch the report states that revenues from mobile location-based services could jump to over $12.7 billion worldwide by 2014. LBS hotspots will continue to be China for overall usage, and Western Europe for revenue growth.

Juniper Research has recently released a report stating that nearly 15 billion tickets will be delivered to subscribers' mobile devices worldwide by 2014. eMarketer.com reports that concerns around ROI with mobile marketing are top of mind for marketers in 2010. Google, like Chuck Norris, knows where you are. Okay, well maybe not quite, but a patent application filed on Thursday for 'Wireless network-based location approximation' indicates that they may be on their way. The filing suggests they may be close to finding a way to secure wireless user location-data, that goldmine of information typically held so close by carriers, by sniffing location data from wireless packets.
