How we got here...
- Cactus Commerce Inc. is a privately held company, incorporated in 1995. Our experience in B2B e-commerce and enterprise application integration (EAI) dates to 1997, when Cactus Commerce developed - in collaboration with the Bank of Montreal - a first-generation electronic marketplace system.
- In the spring of 2000, Cactus begins the development of the Cactus Settlement Server, a B2B payment solution designed entirely for XML, which completed electronic transactions by supporting online financial settlement.
- In August 2000, Cactus starts working with one of Microsoft’s server product groups in Redmond, Washington through which Cactus becomes involved in the development of Microsoft’s B2B strategy, using products such as Microsoft BizTalk® Server and Commerce Server. These solutions enable suppliers to offer their products, services and catalogues online using XML standards.
- In 2004, Microsoft engages Cactus in an exclusive agreement to deliver Cactus GDS Accelerator for BizTalk Server in order to provide 1SYNC (formerly UCCnet™ and Transora) connectivity to retail, consumer goods, manufacturing and distributor customers running on the Microsoft platform.
- In 2007, Cactus Commerce is honored as Partner of the Year for Business Process and Integration Solutions at the 2007 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Program Awards.
- In August 2007, Cactus Commerce is recognized by the Microsoft Commerce Server Product Unit as one of the leading worldwide Commerce Server Partners. At which time, it begins to strategically collaborate with the Commerce Server Product Unit, bringing product innovation and subject matter expertise in e-commerce and digital marketing to the partnership. In doing so, helping Microsoft bring rich and robust e-commerce solutions to the marketplace.
- In January 2009, Cactus welcomes the availability of Microsoft® Commerce Server 2009, a complete and extensible e-commerce platform that powers cross channel solutions for B2C, B2B and B2X scenarios.
